Youth Leadership Conference

What is the conference? 

Since 2006, QCMP has partnered with local colleges to host this annual event in November, where area high school students are invited to participate in educational workshops presented by local community members and volunteers to learn more about starting the college search process, financial aid, building leadership skills, scholarships and more.  The conference also includes a college-fair for students.  

Workshop topics include 

  • How to apply for scholarships

  • Making the right choice 

  • College student panel 

  • Money Savvy & understanding financial aid

  • Social Media, technology & more!

B.    Being the Change for our Justice System – How do you view our justice system? How can students play a part and fit into the justice system? Learn about the differences that one can make, the importance of goals, and how one mistake change your whole life. – Mariah Shivers & Thurgood Brooks

 

C.    Let’s Holla – A panel of college and vocational students offer advice and tips for future college students, especially when it comes to staying on top of the study game.- Fritz Dieudonné

E.    Health & Wellness – Session will be interactive with a brief focus on various topics including anxiety, healthy relationships, and COVID-19. – Dr. Tiffany Stoner-Harris
